With the arrival of more opportunities in online education, many parents are choosing home schooling for their children. The result is a new generation of push-button students and baby-sitter instructors. The online school provides all of the instruction for the child at home while the baby-sitter can make sure the child stays on task, answer any questions, and assist if their is a problem with the website. It is key to find reputable sources for online education with careful research. Also, each state has requirements concerning home schooling. Parents should find out what their responsibilities are and what information they will need to submit to the state. There are often testing requirements and other documents to prove the child is actually receiving schooling at home. The online school may already have answers concerning that vital information; parents don’t want their children to be considered truant. Often, the child’s area school can provide pertinent information. In addition, parents need to remember that opportunities for socialization are a must, including musical instruction, dance, and other sports activities to round out a child’s education.
